Working Method

Mix cake mix according to manufacturer’s instructions, mix 3 pounds prepared Dawn white cake batter and 3oz lemon fruit bits. Divide batter in half, mix hot pink coloring into half of the mix, mix light pink coloring into the other half. Bake in sprayed 8 inch rounds scaled at 1 pound 8 oz each. Let cool completely. Split each prepared cake to make 4 layers total.  Stack and ice cake, alternating between pink colored layers.
