Prepare the coconut cake mix according to manufacturer’s instructions. Deposit 1 lb. prepare batter into sprayed and papered 8-inch cake pans. Bake at 350°F until cake springs back lightly when touched. Let cool completely. Fill, crumb coat, and smooth ice cake with Palest Blue buttercreme. Mix together 1 part black buttercreme and 2 parts grain alcohol or vodka. Place a toothbrush into the mixture and gently “spray” the cake. Repeat as necessary to make speckles. Let speckles dry then decorate with toasted coconut and robin’s egg candies.
